Default Disruptor started his DJ career at a youth club, before playing at an outdoor free party. He's played at music festivals, clubs and strange basements in cities around the UK, Europe and the USA. He's previously managed a one-paragraph mention in Mixmag, and a short column in Time Out New York, under different guises. He has spent 20 years playing music with no particularly notable success, but he keeps doing it because it's a relentless compulsion, and he couldn't stop himself even if he wanted to.
He set up and started working on the Achintya Sound project in the autumn of 2011, and after a couple of false-starts, finally put together a launch party for a drum n' bass night called Shut That Shit Down, for which he played a warm-up set. With a line up featuring Grooverider, Bailey, Doc Scott, Ray Keith, Bryan Gee and AI, the night was certain to be a success, and is now a bi-monhtly event at Rhythm Factory, where he is very much a junior resident alongside Grooverider, Doc Scott and Ezm.
